Renting for the Nordschleife is simpler than it sounds: choose a company, pick a car and a date, and turn up with a valid driving licence. For publictourist drive sessions that is genuinely all the track requires — the rental companies add their own minimum age, a briefing, and sometimes an experience check for the faster cars. Book ahead for weekends: the popular cars go first.
What a Nürburgring rental costs
There is no single price — the spread between a Fiesta ST and a GT3-class Porsche is enormous, and packages differ in laps included, fuel policy and insurance. Insurance, deposits and the guardrail
The part that deserves your attention. Nürburgring rentals come with damage cover that carries an excess — the amount you pay before insurance takes over — and on the Nordschleife the track bills guardrail repairs and recovery separately. The rental packages differ most right here: what the excess is, whether you can buy it down, and who pays the Armco if it comes to that. Read those terms before comparing prices; a cheap lap with a huge excess is not cheap.
